한국지반공학회에서는 2014년 8월25일부터 27일까지 쉐라톤 그랜드 워커힐에서 국제지반공학회(ISSMGE) 기술위원회 TC204와 공동으로 “The 8th International Symposium on Geotechnical Aspects of Underground Construction in Soft Ground(IS-Seoul 2014)를 개최합니다.
TC204 주관 심포지엄은 1994년 뉴델리에서 처음 개최된 이래로 2011년 로마 대회까지 7번의 대회가 3~4년마다 정기적으로 개최되어 오고 있으며 2014년에는 우리 학회가 TC204와 공동 주관하여 8차 대회를 개최하게 됩니다. 본 심포지엄의 토픽은 아래와 같으며 주로 도심 환경에서의 깊은 굴착, 터널 및 지하공간 건설 관련된 지반공학적 측면의 설계/해석, 시공 등의 내용을 다루게 됩니다. 심포지엄에 대한 상세한 내용은 행사 홈페이지(www.IS-Seoul2014.org)에서 찾아 보실 수 있습니다.
